exhibit in charity art show

Three HNR artists - Marla Coleman, Jane Cox, and Collin Hoskins - are entered in the For Art’s Sake annual juried charity art show. 60 adult artists who take classes and workshops at the gallery have paintings on exhibit. Their experience ranges from beginner to professional.

The art work at the show is for sale, with prices from about $150 to over $1,000. 10% of the sales go to the Make-A-Wish Foundation of Greater Virginia. In addition, there will be a drawing for an original collaborative acrylic painting created by the gallery artists. Tickets, $10.00 each, are available from the HNR artists taking part in the exhibit, or by contacting Diana Robinson at 804-740-1400 or forartssakegallery@comcast.net. 100% of the ticket sales benefit the Make A Wish Foundation of Greater Virginia.

The art show runs from January 8 through January 29 at The James Center, 901 E. Cary Street. The exhibit is located in the lobby. There will be a reception; open to the public, at the exhibit on Friday, January 14 from 5:30 to 7:30 PM. Awards will be presented to the top paintings in each represented medium. Two years ago Marla’s painting was selected as Best In Show. Refreshments will be provided.

This is an excellent opportunity to enjoy some of the fine art available in the Richmond area, while supporting the efforts of our member artists and contributing to a deserving charity.

Below are photos taken of some of the work done by Jane Cox, Marla Coleman and Collin Hoskins. The art piece on the main page is a collaborative painting by the class.
